Hello Neighbors, I was walking through Barnes and Noble in Glendora and noticed a new book about Azusa. I looked through it quickly and was surprised at what a beautiful city Azusa was around the 20's to 50's. If you get a chance, please take a look at it. www.amazon.com/Images-America-Jeffrey-Lawrence-Cornejo/dp/0738547107/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1198602220&sr=1-1Yes, there still is vocal group of people in Azusa that want to fight progress, but there are still a lot of us in this city that still want to see the city move forward. Azusa can become a beautiful city again. I think that the city should focus even more on redeveloping all of Azusa Avenue, between the 210 and Foothill. Redeveloping the entire downtown area would make developers and homeowners improve the properties around that area, which is the center core of Azusa. Imagine what the downtown would look like if we could convert the liquor stores into health food, vitamin, and fresh fruit and vegetable stores. That could help improve the quality lives of the people that live around these areas as well as help improve the image of the city.
