ANGELES NATIONAL FOREST - The U.S. Forest Service will have its monthly tour on Saturday on the natural history of the San Gabriel Canyon and include discussions on local wildlife, native plants, geology, fire ecology, and weather patterns.
The tour is from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Meet at the San Gabriel Canyon Environmental Education Center, 0.7 miles past the East Fork Bridge on Highway 39 above Azusa.
Cost is $5 per person.
Visitors should bring water, lunch, sturdy walking shoes, sun screen, insect repellent, cameras,binoculars and dress in layers for the weather.
Vehicles must be in good working order have a full tank of gas.
