Fish Canyon Trail open on Saturday
DUARTE - Vulcan Materials Co., Western Division, has announced that its Azusa Rock site will once again provide day access to the original Fish Canyon Trail on Saturday.
Vulcan will open its gates to the Azusa Rock site at 7a.m. Shuttles to the trailhead will run throughout the morning, with the last trip up at 12:30 p.m.
All hikers must return to the Azusa Rock site by 3p.m.
As a safety measure, all hikers will be asked to sign in so an accurate head count can be maintained.
Trail access will be cancelled in the event of rain.
Vulcan's Azusa Rock site is located at 3901 Fish Canyon Road
in Duarte, just off Encanto Parkway, approximately a mile and a half north of Huntington Drive.
The Fish Canyon Trail, which leads to a three-tiered waterfall, is an easy 5-mile round-trip, with a total elevation gain of approximately 900 feet.
