Is it possible that we "man" really has no effect and that it is recovering because this is it's own natural cycle? While I am all for recycling, keeping the air and water clean and generally doing whatever to keep our little ball as pristine as possible (yes limit emissions) I still wonder how much we really know about earth since us little earth creatures have not been here long enough to know if every million or so years the layer depletes and then thickens on it's own. In a million or two we might have the answer for aging for us humans seems to answer a lot of questions both personally for the world. I still want to know why diesel's are allowed to belch all that black ****?? Talk about awful and harmful!!!

Very true that we don't really know enough about the earth's history -- climatic or otherwise -- to say whether we can affect global conditions. Too many people speak authoritatively on these things but do not have scientific background or education.
