The Azusa City Council has approved a $54,000 contract with a company to remove graffiti around town.
Urban Graffiti Enterprises Inc. will clean walls, buildings, curbs, sidewalks and other tagging spots.
The formal vote is expected Monday.
With city officials hooking up with Urban, City Manager Fran Delach said the response time will be cut in half.
"If their crew is out, they could take it down perhaps right away if they see it, even before it's reported," Delach said.
Azusa officials hope that joining Covina and West Covina in using Urban Graffiti Enterprises will bring down costs and result in a stronger arrest record.
