Sunday 10-30-05, 5 hunters with rifles and scopes, the path we all take to see the river with our kids and animals where seen be hide Silver Forest Ct about 100" from the path with a deer about 1:30 pm and then crossing the river to the path then going up the dirt road to .Hwy. 39. I yelled and told them I called the A.P.D. and you wouldn't believe how fast they left and went back up the canyon. I am very interested in finding out if hunting is allowed virtually in our back yards. I did not see or hear the shot or shots that killed the deer. But I do know that Azusa. residents enjoy walking down there and enjoy the river. Please respond if anyone has any concerns or knowledge of the laws regarding Hunting.
P.S. A.P.D. did respond and were very concerned about this matter and would take it up with their supervisor. The hunters were already gone when they got here. However the dispatcher said well you do live in the mountains and it is hunting season. I say we live in the foothills and in the city of Azusa, . I believe they get some of our tax money.

Thank you! Thank you ! Thank you, for stopping them. It is illegal to hunt in and around Mountain Cove. There are specific places where they are aloud to hunt but this is not one of them.
How anyone can consider shooting a deer a sport is a sad joke.
So do we need to put up "Hunters will be Hunted" signs up? Sorry hunters, just angry about this at the moment.

Next time, called the A.P.D. and don't yell!
I enjoyed very much taking a walk in the morning and seeing the deers up the hills!
hope they got caught and never come back!
