I was just reading about the exit examination for high schools in the area. I think that it is a shame that Azusa's schools only comments were excuses. I would rather hear about what they are doing to make sure that more of their students will pass the test on future exams. 70% of the students passing is not good enough. They should know English and Math well enough by the time they finish high school. If they do not, the teachers, parents, and students are not doing their jobs. They are just letting them pass through the cracks. That is not ok. I would like to see the school district develop plans to improve these numbers each year until they eventually get the 92-96% ratings that some of the other local school districts are getting.
