The $102 million modernization in Azusa Unified School District is coming to a close, as construction wraps up this summer.
Remaining projects at seven schools - Foothill Middle, Sierra High, Gladstone Street Elementary, Valleydale Elementary, Murray Elementary, Powell Elementary and Magnolia Elementary - will be complete by the time schools starts on Sept. 8.
But Slauson Middle, Center Middle, Paramount Elementary, Lee Elementary and Dalton Elementary schools, which were last modernized in the 1980s, and the district office will not be updated through Measure I. The libraries, gyms and administrative offices at Azusa and Gladstone high schools also won't be modernized through the current bond.
