This is my first post so I would like to post something just for fun. Now that the Drive In has all but disappeared from the face of the Earth, what was the last movie you saw at a Drive In Theater and where? Do you have any special memories? www.driveinmovie.com/mainmenu.htmI think that mine was Rocky and I saw it at what used to be the Covina Drive In. I still remember when across the street from the Drive In was a huge strawberry patch and one of the first Inn-N-Out Burger's, that was later turned into a large shopping center with Alpha Beta, and has since been torn down and turned into large commercial buildings. The Covina Drive In is a bunch of apartment buildings and the only original stores left across the street are In-N-Out and Baskin Robbins.

Hi Surfermom, It was so long ago, I don't remember what the last movie was. My family used to have a "drive-in night" when I was growing up. It was great, cheap entertainment and the concession stand treats were the best! Such nostalgia that does not really exist today. I actually got a big ole lump in my throat when I thought of the wonderful family gathering.

I think that it was Goldfinger. It was such a long time ago and I saw so many of them. Do you remember those crackily old window speakers? I still fondly remember waiting in the snack food line with my Dad when I was a very young child.

I have many memories of the drive-in. How many of you remember The Big Sky drive-in in Duarte? How about the Edwards on Peck and Live Oak in Monrovia. WE used to see every John Wayne movie that came out .My mom is a big fan of his. I remember he died the week I graduated from high school. For any of you who still have the urge to go to a drive- in movie, you still can. The old Vineland drive-in is still around. Take the 605 south and exit at Valley. Go east on Valley to Vineland/2 nd., turn left and go about a quarter mile or so and it will be on the left. Save me spot in the snackbar line . ;D
