Test: Log In Feature

We have had several recent comments from neighbors who have told us that they are embarrassed by some of the posts that have been made on this board. We all live in Azusa, and we ask that you try to help build friendships with the other residents of Azusa. Please do not try to create enemies. Some of the messages that have been previously posted were posted to just bait people into arguing. I realize that you are not able to necessarily determine when someone is arguing both sides of an issue, but it does happen.

We realize that this is the Rant and Rave board, but by making it a requirement to log into this board before posting on it, it may accomplish several things, including possibly cutting down on people using several names on one thread, and it will hopefully cut down on the meanness of the posts.

If this does not work, we can remove the requirement to log on or remove the board entirely; depending on what we hear from residents, whether they use this board or not. So please give this a chance for a couple of months and let's see if this works. Thank you.

Please keep in mind, however, that Azusa Online has the ability to block users who post abusive comments.

I understand the need to do something. Thank you for trying to make our community a happier place to live. I think that these boards could better serve the community if the mean comments can be eliminated or at least reduced. Have a great weekend residents!

Hello Alahna & RreyesSGV,

Alahna, I'm sorry that you are having trouble posting. As long as you are logged in with your user name and password, you should not have any problems with posting. We have only locked one post, and that was a while ago, regarding the gun club. When a post is locked, you will see a little lock next to it. None of the posts on the first page have any locks on it. So other than the possibility of not being logged in, I have no idea why you may be having trouble with posting.

If you still have trouble posting on the older posts, please let me know and I will see if I can find out why. Thank you.

As for RreyesSGV's question regarding viewing this board, everyone can currently read the messages on this board. They do not need to be logged in to read the messages. They only need to log in if they want to make a post.
