Anyone heard what all the cop activity was about this morning by the gate.
And talking about cop activity. Anyone have any more information on the murder that supposedly took place last year at the Lodge?

this morning there were several cop cars near the front gate. I have heard now from one of my neighbors it is because of a nasty divorce taking place here in the cove. the man of the divorce is apparently not the money maker in the family and the wife is fuming because his (there) plastic is all charged up sky high. So, he went on a rampage. and has been sleeping in his car out near the entrance.
The end part is about a murder i heard about late last year where they found someone floating in the pool. with a bleeding wound.

I think some has been playing a bad game of the school game telephone. To my knowledge no body was found in the pool . Below are the facts regarding the murder last year
Woman arrested in shooting death of her roommate
By Marianne Love , Staff Writer
Trang Dieu Luu, 33, allegedly produced a handgun and fired several shots, striking Shazia Haq in the upper torso, authorities said. The women lived in the 100 block of Whispering Willow Court, a cul-de-sac in the upscale Mountain Cove neighborhood at the base of the Angeles National Forest.
Haq was pronounced dead at the scene Wednesday, authorities said.
Luu, described as 5 foot 1 and 98 pounds, is being held in lieu of $1 million bail on suspicion of murder at the Inmate Reception Center, downtown Los Angeles, authorities said.
Sheriff's homicide detectives are handling the investigation. No motive has been given for the shooting.
A man who lived with the women was taken into custody and later released with no charges, said Martin Quiroz, spokesman for the city.
"The speculation is that he was married to one of the women and had another woman living there also,' Quiroz said.
Homeowners first moved into the 220-home neighborhood in May 2002. This was the first murder in the area, authorities said.
Quiroz, who lives in Mountain Cove, said neighbors were scared when they heard about the crime.
"They were asking if it was a random act of violence, or a home invasion robbery,' Quiroz said. "When you don't know what happened, you suspect the worst.'
Quiroz said it was possible that no one heard the gunfire, because the houses are built with double-pane windows and extra insulation.
"Once you close the window you shut everything out, which is good, but bad in this situation,' he said. "It was a cool evening. Windows were probably closed and the heaters on.'

That is sick Hearst. Have a little respect. Some people in Mountain Cove were friends of her. It was a very sad event and nothing to joke about.

I am very serious about this and many of you are taking thisjust to litely.
What I have now heard is that the woman was making him leave the house and sleep in his car or whereever he could without any money. Is that not sad? I think we are all being just a small amount insensitive. We should probably invite the man into our homes being as we are all so neighborly.
Back to the pool. and the MURDER.... the FLOATER... was apparently a man... he was in his early 30's and in some sort of normal clothing articles. They found thathe had a big gash in the side of his ear that caused him to blead to death. From what I understand is that he was at hom and his wife made him dinner == a dinner that he did not like. He toldherand she slashed him with a spatchula. then drugged him to the pool. And, there they found the body in the pool.

I love all this sick humor!!!!!!!!!! People lighten up a bit! We at the cove are not immune to any of this crap. Murder, child molestor, divorce, what's next? Does'nt seem to bother anyone. Wait till you have to sell your home, and you have to disclose a child molestor in the area!

So, a couple things are evident... 1. If we go swimming in the pool, we just may have unwanted company. 2. Weenie waggers are okay to live in Mountain Cove but down on their luck husbands are not. At least we have our priorities straight!

post script If it took Euclid Management three months to fix our gate, I am just wondering how many days passed before they pulled the floater out of the pool?

Can we stay with a topic? The poor man was arrested from his car and camp he had made inside that enclosure erea outside the gate all becausa his wife not licking the charged up cards. Think the floater was in the pool for a couple of days before anyone noticed it. This white trashy lady sort of seemed to know the story -- see her around once in a while.

It seems that a recent article in the Tribune includes several important details about this story that were just released to the police:
1. The victim did NOT die from a spatula wound, but was in fact stabbed to death with an olive fork. According to the police, it took approximately 15 minutes and 127 stab wounds for the murder to take place.
2. The woman's home was searched, and the remains of 14 other kitchen-utensil victims were discovered in her kitchen and pantry. Each was kiled within the last 2 1/2 years and all were residents of Mountain Cove, but mysteriously, nobody reported the missing victims.
3. A receipt from "Sur la Table" in Pasadena was found in the suspect's posession which included the purchase of various sharp, pointy kitchen gadgets and the cook book "How to Sautee Human Flesh" by Jeffery Dahmer.
When asked for comment on the pending case, Azusa Police Chief King Davis commented, "Apparently it's true what they say about the folks at Mountain Cove. They have great taste."
