I have a new dog and was wondering if Azusa has any dog parks or places where they are aloud to run around without a leash? If not, where would the closest one be?

The closest dog park that I actually know of is in Claremont, right by the colleges. Anyone know of closer ones?

dang...no dog parks clost by. That is a shame. Are there any good places near by that one could be put around here? I think that it is a good way for dogs to run around and have fun while their caretakers talk to each other and get to know their neighbors better.

I think that San Dimas is going to be getting a new dog park soon. I read that they are currently building one. I don't remember where. But I'm sure if you call the city, they will be able to provide you with more information.

Dear Wuff, I know a park you can go to that nobody uses. It's in Monrovia. It's called Grand ave. park. There is no sigh in front of the park. It's on Grand ave. north of Foothill. It's just north of Greystone and I think the cross street is Prospect. You have to go down about 50 stairs. Your dog can run free without a leash. The park is fenced so your dog wont get out or run away. You will love it. Let me know how you like it. I used to take my dogs there all the time.

Wow, it looks like we might get a dog park. Azusa struggles to build first city dog park. Half-acre vacant plot, donated by Vulcan Materials. I think that it is a wonderful idea. Thank you Vulcan. I would be happy to sign the petition that the article talks about as well. I wonder if it would be possible to walk over to this location from the bike trail? Click here to read story

You may be able to find out how you can sign the petition in support of building the proposed Dog Park by emailing Joe Jacobs at jjacobs@ci.azusa.ca.us who is a Liaison to the Recreation and Parks planning commission or try calling the City of Azusa to ask for Joe, Pam Mercado or Rossana Helbert to voice your support.
I'm guessing we could access this dog park via the trail at the corner of Sierra Madre and Todd (in between the golf course and the office buildings) or you could access it from the bike trail. If not, they should make it accessible via a new trail. It would be nice to be able to walk there if you didn't want to drive.
