Instead, lets get more involved in the Neighborhood Watch. Lets keep an eye out for other kids in the neighborhood. A strong neighborhood watch can help protect our kids. Lets teach the kids how to protect themselves. I wonder if we could offer self defense classes for kids in the park.

Does this slime still live here? We need to know and watch him night and day! Let's post his picture and information around so all the neighbors know. Opinion?

Good idea!
These people are dangerous. Establish the facts. Does he live here? What is his address? It would be nice to know if he is a owner, renter, family member and what that living arrangement is. If all else fails, ask a neighbor or ask him.
Once this information is confirmed, then we owe to everyone living in Mtn Cove to make them aware of him.

He is actually my neighbor!!! I can't beleive I moved away from an area where I had a psyco neighbor, and now I come to find I have a sex offender living right next door. I almost prefer a psycho, at least I would know how to deal with him. Go to meganslaw.ca.gov double click the blue dot, you get his picture and adress. I wonder if people are going to be as passionate about this as thay are about the gun club......we now really have an immediate threat in our own back yard!!!!!

If you do not like the current laws, why not speak to your Congressperson to see if they can create a new law that will correct the problem. If you feel that these people should not be in society, then create a new law to pull them out of it.
I feel that they should live in a secure city where they are not aloud to leave. That is, until medical technology finds a way to heal this disease. Kind of the way East Berlin was. This type of location would be much cheaper to manage than a jail because they would be responsible for creating a life for themselves.

I wonder if people are going to be as passionate about this as thay are about the gun club "Neighbor," I'm sure that wherever you *used* to live (not to mention, wherever you *actually* live right now) is not immune to this issue. Look around on the Megan's Law website: these dots representing the locations of registered sex offenders are sprinkled all throughout the San Gabriel Valley. It's strange and an unusual reaction that you would talk about this issue particularly about how this "tarnishes" the community. Who would care about that, except for maybe the gun clubbers who seem to get off on exploiting anything they can in MC (as they did so disgustingly with the recent murder)? That said, can we stick to the point and leave the gun club out of this? That's a case of apples & oranges if I ever heard.

To Neighbor: What is this creep like? Married? Does anyone else live in the house? Owner, Renter? How long has he lived next to you? Does he work (of course if you know). Does he keep to himself or take walks etc. Also what year make and color of car, license plate? We should all keep an eye on him.

First of all, maybe I should not have brought thegun club into this......enough said!!! He is married with 3 kids, leaves early in the morning and comes home late at night. He and his wife both work and they never come outside. They have always been very private. I'm just wondering what exactly his offense was so that's something for all of you in the cove involved with law enforcement or the legal field to find out. Does anyone know if the details of his conviction are public record??? I think tahat should be step 1 in dealing with this. I think I would feel different about it if he went for walks, took his kids to the park, or interacted with anyone else but he does'nt.

I agree that if we can find out the circumstances of these charges we would perhaps feel better. What was the date of the charges? We know of one case where a highly respected gentleman was wrongly accused, jailed, registered as a sex offender then the young lady fessed up-she had lied. If the offense (even if real) was a long time ago and apparently he has turned his life around (married-kids-job) well who are we to judge. I feel much better since you described his current life-style. We can all make mistakes, even hugh ones.

You can easily see a list of his convicted offenses by
1) Going to the internet link that the first post provided. (!)
2) Scrolling down to the man in question and clicking the "more information" link next to his name.
3) Clicking the "OFFENSES" tab on the top of his information page.

Rocket: under offenses it does not give circumstances, just the code and canned description.

Rocket: under offenses it does not give circumstances, just the code and canned description. The other poster twice asked (or wondered aloud, if you will) if the offense was available to the public. So for whatever reason, he or she is evidently unaware of the ease of access to that information. I think the listed charges are about as specific as possible, without naming names or dates, in terms of protecting a victim's identity. It won't get much more clear than that.

In case no one noticed, Rocket was trying to be a smartass! Maybe he/she should change his/her name and you don't have to be a rocket scientist to think of one, I already have a couple for him/her! What we need to know is.....Now pay attention rocket.....Whom did he offend? Neighbor?Relative? When?Where? Is he on probation? Should he be around kids? Is he high risk? How much time did he serve? These are details Rocket!

I just wanted to mention that before anyone answers the question above, we may have children that visit this web site. It may have even be posted by a child. So please keep that in mind. Thank you.

Yikes! What next? Killers in our midst? Hang on a second, no that's happened, too. Sex offenders? Come on now, they're just allegations.
Um, supporters for council who have no formal training, education or experience to speak of? Bob with two "o's". Yes, we hit the jackpot!!!

Is there anyway that we can have a small kindergarden in Mountain Cove or really close by? What about in the new interpretation center that they are going to start building this year on the old forest information booth property? Well, how far is the nearest school to us now? I wonder if that vetrans place or mormom church offers any classes for kindergardeners? Proposal would bar sex offenders: A bill introduced by Bermudez, D-Norwalk, would bar registered sex offenders from living within two miles of any school. It would expand current state law, which prohibits registered sex offenders on parole from living within a quarter-mile of any kindergarten, elementary and middle school. www.sgvtribune.com/Stories/0,1413,205%257E12220%257E2721785,00.html

Oh my goodness! You poor folks up there in Mt. Cove. First you're inundated with noise from the gun club, now it's a sex offender! DO THE MAJORITY OF THE CITIZENS OF AZUSA A FAVOR, MT. COVE RESIDENTS, AND GET OUT OF TOWN AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE! GO START YOUR OWN CITY SOMEWHERE ELSE!

Do mountain Cove residents a favor and get off our site! I guess you think it's ok to have a perv living in the area! You either don't have kids of your own or you're a perv yourself!! Very interesting that you are trying to enrage Mountain Cove though. No need to comment on the gun club, get over it!! Mountain Cove residents were not solely responsible for the gun club closure.

I was not trying to enrage your residents in Mt. Cove, nor would I want a pervert living in my neighborhood. I'm simply trying to point out the obvious.... you are living in Azusa which, to anyone who's lived in the valley very long, knows is not the ideal city. Azusa has a high crime rate, a police chief who is rarely in town and a school district that is greatly lacking in educational quality. It's an old Hispanic town, with no downtown area to speak of, and that will never change. Monrovia and Glendora have wonderful downtown shopping areas, but Azusa missed out and you can't turn that around. I know these facts to be true because I lived in Azusa for over 40 years. You can't take the City out of your neighborhood and you can't take Mt. Cove out of the city. Now that your website has been published in the Tribune, I think you'll see an increase in comments to your community. I wish you success in getting the sexual predator out of your area, but your chances are poor as statistics prove.
