Most of nursery land handed to developers
AZUSA -- Five hundred acres of Monrovia Nursery in the foothills of northeastern Azusa has been turned over to Newport Beach-based Azusa Land Partners LLC.
The property is slated for 1,250 new homes, a school, parks and a retail center.
Construction is expected to start early next year.
Azusa Land Partners LLC is a joint venture of PLC Land Co., Fieldstone Communities Inc., Rockport Group LLC and Starwood Capital Group Global LLC
The transfer happened Sept. 10.
One hundred acres remains nursery property.
