This week I emailed Diane Chagnon, member of Azusa City Council about the bike path project. I asked if it got cut from the budget or was still happening and if so, when:
"Here’s the update. The project is still in the capital plan and is underway. Should be completed in next 60 days. No cuts were made to the size or scope of the project."
My understanding is that when done, there will be a one mile extension of the bike path that runs along the river. The new path will continue from the current trail head, go past Mountain Cove and up toward the Canyon Inn property. This may make walking, jogging, etc. along that road more safe and will add more scenic trail to walk, jog, etc. in this area.
