COMMENTS DUE BY AUGUST 11TH***** /me Friends Of Our Forests: As you know, the Forest Service has released risky plans for managing our southern California forests that would make them less wild, less beautiful. These plans would put over 100,000 more loud off-road vehicles on our forest trails each year and allow for development that would destroy scenic views and put wildlife at risk. Many of you have let the Forest Service know that it must do far better job of protecting our nearby national forests – the Angeles, Cleveland, San Bernardino, and Los Padres -- for a generation to come. We thank you. You can help out even more by sending in additional comments. A new comment letter was posted on our forest campaign web site yesterday. Please take a few minutes right now to visit www.sierraclub.org/ca/socalforests/speak_up/ where updated comments are ready to be sent. Add you own thoughts, click and your comments will be sent directly to the Forest Service. If you haven’t submitted comments yet, take a moment to visit our campaign web site and send in a comment today. Your participation in submitting comments to the Forest Service is the most important thing you can do right now to win stronger protection for our southern California national forests.
