Azusa River Restoration Project Expected to End

Mountain Cove Residents:
Tonight the Utility Board (city council) will vote on whether or not to continue the River Restoration Project. The River Restoration Project includes the river park and any future restoration projects along the river. Due to budget cuts, the city plans not to continue the three years it has already invested in the project.
As a result, the city will have to return $2.5 million of unused funds because they are canceling the position of the person that has facilitated the effort.
If you think the city should continue the River Restoration Project, please voice your concern to the Utility Board during public participation at 6:30 p.m. tonight, May 24th.
