I am urging all Mountain Cove residents to email your elected City Council officials to urge them to expedite the closure of this facility. I've been told they have repeatedly violated city ordinances.
In my opinion a business should provide a "net gain" to a city in exchange for it's license to operate within the city. The D Club unfortunately has proved to, among other things, require more than average police resources and be a spot for crime in our city.

Stabbing in Azusa night club Article Launched: 02/04/2008 09:22:38 AM PST
AZUSA - A Norwalk man was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon after allegedly stabbing a Long Beach man in a night club early Saturday morning.
Miguel David Espinosa, 21, was arrested after the bouncer outside the D Club, at 975 W. Foothill Blvd, waved down a passing police car, according to Sgt. Mike Gurbada.
The man he is accused of stabbing was taken to the hospital and treated, and is expected to fully recover, according to Gurbada.
The stabbing was not gang-related, according to Azusa Sgt. Mike Bertelsen.
He said that the suspect and the victim were acquainted from previous meetings at other night clubs, but that he was not sure if the two had fought before.

I'm not so sure that the place needs to be closed down. Maybe they should change what kind of club it is. If they changed to a place where they held concerts for people over 21, that may be enough to eliminate the problems.
It may be more profitable for them to do that as well because older people typically have more disposable income. By charging for concert tickets, people would be paying more to get into the place and would cut down on the number of people that go to it.
And maybe they could limit it to types of music that wont encourage problems, such as acoustic, folk music, piano, jazz, etc.
