Are the minutes of the monthly HOA meetings published? I was unable to go but would like to know what was discussed and more importantly, see if anything was decided.

I do not have the minutes but I can give you the main points:
The main thing that was decided was the board approved the hiring of a security patrol around Mountain Cove, especially the pool area. The board is testing it out to see if it helps solve some of the problems. It was also recommended that residents call the police when they see problems around the pool such as people that do not belong there, people in the area after hours, etc.
Residents need to be more proactive in protecting the community. We have had several incidents in the pool and spa, as well as problems with identity theft, mail being stollen, packages being stollen, and residents driving through stop signs, speeding, and going the wrong way on the round-a-bouts.
One resident mentioned that there were other gated communities that he has been to where the gate only allowed one car in. Alia said that we cannot have a gate of that type because someone could get hurt. She said that we would have to have a double gated system or 24 hour, 7 day a week guards at the gate.
We have had problems with non-residents using the pool and spa, alcohol in the spa (it had to be drained twice), condoms, dirty diapers, babies without bathing suits, broken beer bottles, etc.
And now there is also the lawn being torn up in front of the gates by an off-road vehicle.
