I haven't been able to make it to any of the recent homeowner meetings and am wondering if anyone knows what is happening with the "Mountain Cove" sign at our first entrance where mountain laurel meets san gabriel canyon blvd. I've noticed that the sign on our right as we enter is missing the "cove" part of mountain cove for months now. Did someone steal it? Did it fall off? Is it going for an extended cleaning? Has anyone else even noticed?

Yes...I've noticed it and I'm sure the board is aware if it as well. But, I guess, I've gotten used to the fact that it takes a long time to get things fixed up here. Maybe, if we're lucky, we might see a new sign by summer. Don't hold your breath though.

The "Cove" unfortunately was vandalized and stolen. The initial bids to replace those four letters were ridiculous!!! I was at the homeowner's meeting when they had received the bid. The board decided they needed to pursue more bids - which I was in total agreement with.

Three bids is the rule of thumb.

Davieboi where did u come from??? By your comment it seems that you have a financial interest in the bids (three bids ). If you get three horrible bids you continue on as apparently our board is correctly doing... Why would you even make that comment? Why did you run when people were in trouble? By the way for the board the sign should be covered under our insurance...minus deductible. Please check out our policy as I know we pay dearly for the coverage.

That's a very good point. No worries about price. The Insurance company will take care of that.

Hey 'loveourhome' ... leave it alone. My comment was made from my own personal opinion. Whenever I need work done at home; I obtain three bids. I may not go for the lowest, or the highest. I go for the most quality, most cost effective and reliable service.
