DECEMBER 26TH IN THE EVENING SOMEONE BROKE MY CAR WINDOW AND SLASHED MY WIFES TIRES. I LIVE ON WHISPERING WILLOW. DID ANYONE NOTICE ANYTHING OR ANYONE FUNNY THAT NIGHT? I KNOW THIS POST IS KIND OF LATE BUT I JUST THOUGHT OF POSTING THIS MESSAGE AFTER HEARING FROM MANAGEMENT. I REALLY THINK EUCLID SHOULD THINK OF INSTALLING CAMERA'S LIKE MOST COMMUNITIES DO. IT WOULD BE VERY BENIFICIAL JUST IN THWARTING OFF BREAK INS AND GOD FORBID ABDUCTIONS AND WHAT NOT. I DON'T REALLY HAVE ANY ENEMIES ;D SO I DONT THINK THIS WAS AN INTENTIONAL ACT.

Sorry to hear about your vandalism. The gate has been broken for over a week now, which leaves us all vulnerable.

I agree. I would just like to know they ARE working on the gates and I do feel vulnerable. I got one of those scary vendors and he was throwing out all kinds of names of my neighbors who I didn't even recognize. In hindsight I shouldn't have answered the door.

What is with Euclid? I have not seen anyone working on the gates. Why don't we have a guard? All our issues would be gone with a guard. Has anyone noticed that we have a natural moat and with a guard, well put a strip on the out gate and we are done....

last I heard, they are waiting on a part for the gate.
I feel that we can do better than Euclid. If others feel that way, please come to the meetings.

Our gate is pretty much useless even when it's working properly. No one can control who comes in behind you. We need a guard shack.
We (our HOA) have the money and residents have been requesting it from the beginning! Euclid already has other communities they manage that have guard shacks. They already know how much they cost to install and what the monthly cost would be to the homeowners (about $50.00 per month). This matter has been brought up at our association meetings in the past however, the answer continues to be "we'll look into it" and dies there.
Board: have you looked into it? Can we (the homeowners) get a report from you and can we vote to see if we can make it happen? Thank You !!!

I talked to Euclid on Monday-Jan.29th-regarding the broken gates(since BEFORE Christmas!) and was told that it was a part that kept on breaking. However, when the vendor came to fix it he noticed "missing" parts. Hmmmm! Since living here, almost 3 years, we have requested a guard shack and/or a spike strip for the out gate. Everyone at that time freaked out and thought it was invasive, too expensive and thought it would take away from the environment of which we all live! Well, I don't know about some of you, but we work hard to be able to live up here and to always find the gates open/and or broken, the landscaping looking like...well you see it-the back hills look terrible, all the sprinkler system is exposed for the most part and the sprinklers are all clogged with rocks, etc. The water is never on! It seems to me that the Association and the Board are more concerned about the parking, the animals in the common area, the lodge use, etc. We either need a new management company that hears our concerns and gets it to the right people or we need a Board that will stand behind us and our issues and comes up with solutions that work for all of us. A Mountain Cove Homeowners Survey wouldn't be a bad idea-that way we all can state our concerns! Maybe take a vote from "within" and see if we all want that guard shack now!

While were at it, how about a couple of speed bumps leading out to the exit bridge! People don't seem to care about children playing outside while they are selfishly speeding towards the bridge. Its a real problem.

I agree with both of the prior posts. The idea of a survey was brought up to the board as well....several times. Everyone in the Cove who I have spoken to regarding this matter feels the same. I realize it is difficult to get everyone to come to the HOA meetings due to individual schedules, however, I think that it would be very easy for the management company and the board to put together a letter with the information of the initial cost, possible placement, and any monthly adjustment that this addition would represent to us. They could include it in our monthly statement and let the residents vote on it by simply marking a box. What do you say board members? Is that a possibility?

As with most HOA's, the homeowners have much more say than we acknowledge. If I am not mistaken, the process to follow is to make a request to the board for a "reasonable" request and then have it put out to the homeowners for a vote. If it passes with 60% agreement we can put it into action. Thoughts/comments?

Re the guard lets get a vote via mail from everyone...not to go to Euclid because I don't think they want a guard because they would have to pay attention to a guard? Opinion? We desperately need a guard and that will end a lot of these issues.. P. S. When I spoke to Euclid regarding the gate there was not urgency, concern, or followup. Whenever it got done was ok with Euclid.. No concern in the least..
