Donations Can Be Dropped Off at City Hall now until November 30th
Mayor Pro-Tem Joe Rocha and the Azusa Veterans’ Monument Committee are seeking donations for the annual Azusa Troops Holiday Care Package Drive. The care packages will be mailed to Azusa servicemen and women serving in Iraq and overseas. The Committee is also partnering with the Azusa Unified School District in this effort. You can drop off your donations at the City Hall receptionist’s desk now until November 30th.
If you know of a serviceman or woman from Azusa that is currently serving, please contact Mr. Rocha at (626) 334-1582 so they can be included in our Holiday Care Package mailing.
The Holiday Care Package wish list: Disposable Cameras, Prepaid Phone Cards, Travel-Size Board Games, Handheld electronic games, Commercially wrapped individual packets of Trail Mix, Beef Jerky, Nuts, Energy Bars, Sunflower Seeds, Hard Candy, Commercially sealed Lip Balm, roll-on deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, Individual packets of moist towelettes, Beanie Babies, Cotton Socks and Travel-Size Legos.
In addition, the Committee is seeking gift cards for the families of the servicemen and women to help them during the holidays.

Monday thru Thursday- 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Why: Please join us as we honor our service men and women who are stationed overseas during the holidays. We want our servicemen and women to know how much they are appreciated and that we are wishing them and their families the best this holiday season.
The care packages will be prepared and mailed by volunteers on Saturday, December 2, 2006 at the Veteran’s of Foreign Wars in Azusa.
