I highly recommend this hike - it's a beautiful tree lined hike with a view of Fish Creek below and a waterfall at the end of the trail.
Vulcan to offer access to trail
DUARTE - Vulcan Materials Co. said its Azusa Rock site will provide access to the Fish Canyon Trail on Saturday and Dec. 16.
Vulcan will open the Azusa Rock site at 7 a.m. Shuttles to the trailhead will run throughout the morning, with the last trip up at 12:30 p.m. All hikers must return to the Azusa Rock site by 3 p.m. As a safety measure, hikers will be asked to sign in, so an accurate head count can be maintained. Additionally, trail access will be canceled in the event of rain.
Vulcan's Azusa Rock site is at 3901 Fish Canyon Road in Duarte.
The Fish Canyon Trail, which leads to a three-tiered waterfall, is an easy 5 mile round-trip, with a total elevation gain of about 900 feet.
