Yes, you're right there was a huge turn out of residents. It was very clear that he's long been loved and respected by the the people of Azusa. I'm sure that as Mayor he will do a wonderful job at representing all of Azusa.

Someone refresh my memory -- Did or does Rocha:
1) Support development of MC 2) Support development of Rosedale 3) Support gun club closure 4) Support redevelopment plans for a parking garage next to Savon
??
The answers will help me make my decision. Thanks.

From what I know, Mr. Rocha did support Mountain Cove and made sure that it would be safe from "a 100 year rain" phenomenon.
He did support the second version of the Rosedale development but not the first. He felt the first version was too dense, with small lot sizes and too much density. The second version allowed for more breathing room and open areas.
He was very much in support of the gun club closure and was the only one who voted not to give them an extension at their first request.
I don't know about the parking garage but you may be able to ask him yourself at his next event.
I understand he and Mr Macias, who is running for council, will be serving a turkey lunch to meet the public and answer questions at the F.O.E. Eagles (on San Gabriel Blvd, north of Sierra Madre) in the outside patio area on November 18th between 12 noon and 4:00 P.M.
Please come meet them and ask any questions you might have. Each and everyone of us have a very important decision to make on March 6th, '07!
