Recently, the peaceful nature of our community has changed dramatically due to an increase in barking dogs. Two new dogs moving in nearby has started a chain reaction of long periods of non-stop barking from various dogs across the neighborhood. It's like living inside the "twilight bark" of the 101 Dalmatians movie.
Yes, we've had conversation with the neighbors whose new dogs seem to have started this new dynamic. And, they seem to control the dogs well when they are home during waking hours. But, being awakened in the middle of the night by 15+ minutes of continuous barking or hearing the dogs bark for hours when they are at work is beginning to cause stress. We can no longer be sure we can enjoy the breeze through open windows or on the back patio. It's a sad loss!
We even had a house guest this weekend who had last visited in January and she noted that the peace and quiet for which Mountain Cove was once known had changed due to the barking.
Dog owners -- PLEASE be respectful of the neighbors!
