AZUSA -Developers of a planned Target store have closed escrow on a property a 809 N. Azusa Ave, bringing the project a step closer to construction, city officials said.
The Target company bought the property from Azusa for $7 million. The store will likely be about 159,000 square feet. The city hopes the store will bring about 150 to 200 new jobs, according to a prepared statement.
The site has already been cleared in anticipation of the project and building plans have been processed through the city. Building permits are expected to be approved sometime this year, according to a statement from the city.
