AZUSA, CA – August 12, 2009 – The Target Corporation this week issued final funding approvals for the new store that will be built at 809 N. Azusa Avenue (bounded by West 9th Street on the north, Azusa Avenue on the east, the railroad right-of-way on the south, and San Gabriel Avenue on the west). City officials were informed on August 11, 2009, that Target’s Capital Expenditure Committee had funded the project, which the City and Target believe will be a flagship for their “unique” urban store design.
