Hello Neighbors,
I noticed that someone was putting out mailers this weekend. I bet it was the same weasel as last election! (doesn't this guy have a life!) I also don't like that he put yard signs at homes that nobody lives in(how tacky is that!) I for one will not be voting for somebody that has to continually read a prepared statement for his opening and closing statements at both the forum and the meet-and-greet. We need someone who can think for himself and vote on his own, instead of following leads. This Gonzales was also told that he cannot use any more literature that says he is endorsed by Hilda Solis, yet he is still handing out these mailers . What does that tell you about this candidate??? If you would like to call Hilda Solis' office yourself here is the #448-1271. I'm not sure I want someone like this sitting on our city council.

It is always the same people who complain,but you never see any of them at city events. Mr. Gonzales will be re-elected whether you like it or not. He has done a great job for our city, look at what he has done in the last 2 years. What have you done in the last 2 years except cry on this board. If you can do better, then take out papers in the next election & we will talk garbage about you. For the record, Hilda Solis gave Mr. Gonzales permission to use her name in the mailers. Since she is having a hard time getting confirmed as Labor Secretary, she has asked that her name not appear on anymore mailers. These mailers were printed before she asked that her name not appear on them. May I be so bold to ask who you are supporting in this election ? What is important is that you vote. Hey Mr. Weasel,
For your information, Gonzales cannot be re-elected because he was never elected in the first place, he was appointed. Give me a list of the great things he himself has initiated and accomplished on his own and I will THINK about voting for him. I need to see things that he himself did, not Rocha or anyone else on the council helped him do (and I don't mean painting curbs). As for being at all the city functions, of course he is out there, the guy has no life!!!

Why do you not like Mr. Gonzales ? He has been a good councilman. The veteran curb I.D. program was done by him & he has received recognition from Hilda Solis for it. He has paid all the expenses for this program out of his own pocket. He will be launching the Azusa Safehouse around open house. This is a program for " latch-key" kids. Open house for our school district is in April. He received a state grant for this program so it will not cost taxpayers a dime. He has received recognition for his work on the council from our elected officials at the state, county & federal levels. Mr. Gonzales has been recognized more than all the other council members combined. Not a bad job for someone that was appointed wouldn't you say, so he deserves to be returned to the council for a 4 year term, hope you will vote for him. Would you rather have someone who only wants to be there for their own ego or use the seat to springboard elsewhere? He has also voted to select a new developer for block 36 & also voted to bring a Target store to Azusa. The Citrus Crossing Center is near completion & the Fresh & Easy market will open tomorrow( 2-11-09) Oh & if that is not enough he is putting on a fundraiser tomorrow ( 2-11-09) for a resident who lost her husband at the age of 55. It is a dinner at Max's restaurant in downtown Azusa. You should stop by between 5-9 & see for yourself the kind of councilman Robert Gonzales is.
