We are looking for a reasonable and reliable electrician to have a few things done both inside and out...if anyone has any good recommendations it would be appreciated.

We had the wiring for some ceiling fans put in around the time when we first moved in. They were not cheap, but I don't think that they were expensive either. We chose them because they were the same company that wired our homes. I think that they are Sprint Electric. 909-354-9520. They are professional and did an excellent job. I was afraid to go real cheap because I didn't want any mickey mouse wiring jobs.
However, I know a neighbor, Paul, that has an electrician that can do electrical jobs cheaply. I will see if I can get the information from him. I will get back to you if I'm able to get the info.

He did all the lighting in the backyard: 3 post laterns, wiring for a future spa, the line for the waterfall in the pond, lighting for the palms and trees, and in my other house he did the recessed lights
