We have been putting up with them so far but now there seems to be more and more of them. If you don't have one next to you yet just wait. I know it sound insensitive to single out Collage kids living together in the mountain cove, but wait until they move in on your block. We have had to put up with large kegger type parties during the week and on the week end at all hours of the night. The last big party took place on a Monday night and the police finally broke it up around 3am.The most disturbing thing is all of the party goers that chose to drink and drive. We have called the police on many of them but I worry about the ones I don't see. I have seen and herd a lot of troubling things come from these frat house and I just think we should try to unify and join together so we can help each other and help the association control the bad habits of these frat houses. So if anyone wants to post any tips or ask any questions about this topic please let me know. And remember cool heads will always prevail.

I'm really sorry to hear that there are more of them and that the neighbors are having problems with them.
The last that I heard, they just got rid of the one on Mossdale by the river. I did not realize that there were more of them. What streets are the other ones located on?
I remember hearing that you should document everything with the times, dates, photos, etc. Contact the police so that they can keep going out there. Make sure that the HOA is aware of the problems as well.

Hi Lester and thank you for replying.Well the houses I'm referring to are on Mountain Laurel, and two on Brookside. Those are the ones I'm aware of. Having one on our block now two has given me an education and how to handle it properly ,so I just wanted there to be a posting or place where other neighbors with questions or problem about this matter can go. I am afraid that with the school year approaching there is going to be an other rash of drunken parties like the ones we had last year. My goals are to help our neighbors have a place to go with questions about these aka Frat Houses and how to handle them properly.

Lester,
When did you hear the one on Mossdale Ct. was removed or gotten rid of? I'm sure theyre still there. The house looks terrible from the outside, trash is visible from the street, garage door always open with another visible mess, really not good for our neighborhood. Does anyone know if anything could be done legally about the nuisance & eyesore?

Hello,
About a week ago, a neighbor told me that the bank has taken over that house which is on the corner of Mossdale and Brookside. Lets all hope that is correct.
I was also told that California has a new law that just went into effect that when a home now goes into foreclosure and the bank receives notice regarding taking care of the property, the bank will have 15 days to start to repair the yard and it must be completed after 30 days. After that time, the bank will be fined $1,000, per day for every day that the repairs have not been done.
So once notices go into effect, I think that banks are going to start repairing the yards of the foreclosures. I don't know if this has happened yet or not regarding the homes in the Cove. The last I heard, HOA attorneys are looking into it.

Well I'm glad to hear that. I understand college kids have to live somewhere, but this place has become quite the eyesore. Let's hope all your info is correct. Thanks!
