How did they break in?
I'm asking because my house on Brookside was broken into from the back office window. They pulled the screen off and pried open the window. Basically ran through taking only what they could carry stuffed in pillow cases and exited the front door.
Sorry, to hear this is going on in our neighborhood.

Gesh, that is terrible. I'm really sorry to hear that. I had my car broken into once when I was in college and I felt totally violated when that happened.
Those people are really making a mistake coming into Mtn. Cove. Most residents here have alarm systems and use them. And there are quite a few residents that are currently in law enforcement or are retired from it, whether it is working for a city police department, the sheriff department, private investigators, the CIA or the FBI. And a lot of neighbors are pretty well armed as well.
I hope that those people that broke into your homes realize that they are endangering their own lives.
I wonder if it would be worth looking into putting a camera on the entrance gate and/or exit gates so that it could be used to help get these people?

Hope you did not suffer too much damage to your home.
We all have to do a better job as far as letting cars into our gate. At this time, seems that any car can follow another car to come into the community.
Do you have any suggestions on how to elimiate those cars that has no business in our community?
I encourage everyone to come up with a better solution of controling the gate.

dear brookside
they did the same to my house. it seems like something a teenager would do. i suspect these are from people that live in this neighborhood. they actually came back again and took some stuffs (rims for my cars) from my back yard. i am install a camera system this week. also the hand prints they left on my window are quite small. may i ask what time they broke into your house and what day? also my neighbor at the end of my street got some stuffs stolen too. i need everyone to spread out the word and see if this type of thing has occured among others. please have them come up and discuss about this. i think all these incident are done by the same person
these people are really amature. i think we all need to address this issue to the board and start a neightborhood watch.

queenbee i think having security at the gate would be very helpful. i have 24 hours security at my office and it cost around 7000 per month for 3 shifts of security 365 days a year.

I agree. I live on Mossdale and my neighboor was recently robbed and it has alarmed me very much because i have small minor siblings that are un-easy. I think that a security guard should at the entrance gate to eliminate the amount of unwanted visitors to our community
