The following is an email I received today regarding the gold line. Does anyone know which cities and / or people will now be on the board?

Below is a summary of some of the stories featured in the newsletter:
Station Design Process Takes Shape - Earlier this year, the Station Design and Art Review Committees of each city selected an artist to work with Construction Authority staff in developing public art installations at each of the proposed station locations. To learn more about these artists and their concepts, visit our web site at <http://www.foothillextension.org>.
Changes to Board Representation - To provide a greater voice among Foothill Extension cities on the Metro Gold Line Foothill Extension Construction Authority's Board of Directors, the San Gabriel Valley Council of Governments (COG) - along with the cities of South Pasadena and Pasadena - have agreed to relinquish their voting positions on the board. The move will allow for representatives from cities along the Foothill Extension corridor to serve on the board overseeing the extension project to Montclair. In exchange for giving up their voting positions, the three entities have agreed to continue to serve on the board in a non-voting capacity.
Two Segments Planned for Foothill Extension Construction - Proposed design and construction of the first segment of the 24-mile project is being planned for an 11.4-mile stretch, leading up to the Citrus Station near Citrus College, at the Azusa/Glendora boundary. Proposed Segment 2 (Glendora to Montclair) would begin upon completion of Segment 1. Once federal funding goals are achieved, construction plans and schedule will be further refined to begin the work.
Assessment Study Planned - At its Jan. 25, 2006 meeting, the Metro Gold Line Foothill Extension Board of Directors will select among a number of proposals submitted to look at the appropriate density of station areas and adjacent environments and potential for development. The Transit-Oriented Development Assessment Study was funded through a $1.25-million grant allocated by the federal government as part of the Transportation Reauthorization Bill approved by Congress last summer.
Remember, Foothill Extension staff is available to offer public presentations regarding plans for Phase II, as well as group public tours of the portion of the Metro Gold Line currently in operation (from East Pasadena to Union Station in downtown Los Angeles). Tours are two hours in length and include overviews of light-rail transit, public art and transit-oriented development projects.
Tours are offered the first Thursday and Saturday of each month. The next tours are scheduled for Jan. 5 and 7, 2005. Reservations are required at least 48 hours in advance. To sign up, call (626) 471-9050. Speaking requests can be made in writing to the address below, or by replying to this e-mail.
That's it for now! If you have any questions, feel free to contact me directly, by e-mail or by phone. Best wishes for a happy holiday season and a prosperous new year!
