Azusa mulling development www.sgvtribune.com/news/ci_3253758Workshops are under way to hear proposals from developers seeking to build a $50-plus-million ground-floor retail and housing establishment on the southeast corner of Azusa Avenue and Foothill Boulevard. Wow, this is great news. First the grand opening of a Japanese restaurant, then ground breaking for La Tolteca, then the ground breaking for the new Starbucks, then hearing about a new Italian restaurant coming into the downtown, and now hearing about plans for the redevelopment of the pawn shop corner. YES! Good job Azusa City Council. The future of the city just keeps looking better and better.

In the City Council Agenda for their next meeting, it is listed that there will be a discussion in the CLOSED SESSION about block 36: REAL PROPERTY NEGOTIATIONS (Gov. Code Sec. 54956.8) Property Address: Block 36 (Foothill Blvd., Azusa Ave., 6th St., Alameda Ave.) Agency Negotiators: City Manager Delach and Assistant City Manager Person Under Negotiation: Price and Terms of payment
So, the city is moving forward. It looks like there are several projects along Azusa Avenue this year that are moving forward.
