Council to discuss library construction
AZUSA -- The Azusa City Council will meet at 6 p.m. Monday to discuss further plans for the library.
Voters approved Measure L in 2001, a $5.875-million bond to build a new 60,000-square-foot library based on getting state funds.
The city did not qualify, so now city officials have to figure a way to relive overcrowding at the library.
The workshop will be held in the Azusa Light and Water Department Conference Room, 729 N. Azusa Ave.
For more information, call (626) 812-5232.

It's nice to see that the city is being creative to get what this city needs. That is exactly the kind of effort that this city needs.

Now is your chance to speak up at the next Library Commission Meeting. Help the city decide which direction it needs to go in order for the city to get the library that it deserves.
Date: August 4th, Thursday, 6pm at the Library Auditorium
The city needs a new library and a new post office. I wonder if there is a way to get both of them.
