Sheriff's station plans open house
The open house for the new San Dimas Sheriff's Station will be held from 10 a.m. to 3p.m. Saturday at 270 S. Walnut Ave.
The event, which will host local dignitaries including Sheriff Lee Baca and Supervisor Michael Antonovich, will also act as the unveiling ceremony for the station's sculpture "Our Neighborhood Sheriff's Station."
Sheriff's officials said the new 28,000-square-foot facility will help law enforcement and protection for the city of San Dimas, the unincorporated communities of Covina, Azusa, Glendora, La Verne, Claremont, Pomona and the San Gabriel Mountains.
