Its funny how you people have only been here a few years and take side with Diane Chagnon.. I have been here over 35 yrs and everything is still the same. She tries to take credit for putting Susanne Avila in charge of Azusa Preservation committe when she was the one that wanted her out.. Diane Also says that she has experience but what is experience if you dont have results.. How funny is it when our city buys a piece of land for over 2 million dollars and sells it to someone(hennessey) for well under price ... whats also funny is that we did not even look at other bidders. Thanks alot Diane!!!! MACIAS WILL DONATE ALL HIS MONEY TO LOCAL CHARITIES... HE IS A GREAT LEADER !!!!! THIS IS THE TYPE OF LEADERSHIP WE NEVER HAD HERE IN AZUSA!!! MACIAS YOU HAVE MY VOTE AND SEEMS LIKE OTHERS ARE NOTICING TO!!!

You see what people have been talking about this kind of stuff not being limited to one side? Guest wouldn't know the truth if it landed on his nose. Madrid has had zero involvement in Macias's campaign, they don't even share the same views on the issues.
About Esquiveil and the mayor, yes they were together for several years, but their relationship ended about three years ago, they do not even socialize anymore. Esquiveil also contributed to Marcene Hamilton for Treasurer. So she's a pawn too I guess. Gee and I've been thinking she and her husband Burke were among the most respected & popular people in the community, but Guest would have us thinking differently since they also personally contributed to Macias campaign.
You know Guest, there are shops in Azusa for all your pawn theories. Why don't you try selling them there instead.

Cool Raul, There many more of us Macias supporters in Mountain Cove than you think. A lot of people just aren't as public about it as others. I attended the forums and some coffees for both that I could and although I started out as a Dianne supporter I couldn't be blind to the fact that Mr. Macias is a far better choice for the city. I do not have personal benefit for my choice but I suspect some of the more adamant Dianne supporters in the cove may have political aspirations and therefore aligned themselves with the candidate they though had the best chance of winning at the time. However, it seems more and more that they just might find themselves on the wrong side of the fence after the election. They might want to be a little more open to Mr. Macias just in case.

To Guest:
You absolutely have no clue about things in Azusa. You should go pull the campaign papers and see exactly what is going on. Mike Esquivel contributed not only to Macias and Hamilton but to Joe Rocha as well. Does that make them all pawns? You need to quit making accusations about people and get the facts straight. On the other hand, every major contributor to Diane Chagnon's campaign is from hard core special interest companies or groups. Based on this information who would you now say is a pawn? These are all clear conflicts of interest. Mr. Macias has shown that he cannot be bought.

Why would you like to see Mr. Marcias out, when he is far more qualified than all council candidates. Why should we hurt ourselves by not keeping Mr. Macias. I guess, what you are telling us that the perfect council would be, Chagnon, Rocha, Dierking, and Carrillo. Come on, let's get real here. Let's elect Macias for mayor, Chagnon will remain, with Rocha and Donalson to complete the puzzle. Everyone will be happy! Chagnon can keep special interest happy, Macias will make Azusans happier, and with the support of the best Council.

Prior Poster, That sounds like the best deal for Azusa. Macias is a great asset for the city and we should keep him. If he wins we still get to keep Dianne and the city council seats, hopefully, will be filled by any combo of the three you mentioned. Let's leave personal egos out of this and really think about what is best for the city!
