Last night the rain was blowing the rain down at an angle directly against the back of our house. When we got up this morning there was a small flood in our family room downstairs. It appears that our sliding door out to the patio is not watertight.
Anyone else have this problem?
We have been in our house for over one year so I am not sure if Standard Pacific will take care of this anymore or if we are on our own. In case we are does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this or who to contact to fix it?

Same problem with our house. Haven't called yet, but we have also been here over a year. Our windows have the same problem. Keep us posted if you here anything.

Rain and wind combo has been pretty bad, especially last (Tuesday) night. Found some water in the garage, think it came in under the door, but nowhere else. Which direction do you face?

We had the same problem last year - the rain water filled in through the bottom of the sliding glass door and spilled into the house. The problem was that the "weep holes" on the outside bottom of the sliding glass door were clogged. Dan from SP said this happens occasionally. He simply unclogged them with a screwdriver like thing and it hasn't happened since. If this is your problem look on the outside of your sliding door at the bottom for very small rectangle shaped holes and unplug them.

Dan from Standard Pacific came to our house today to look at the sliding doors and sure enough the weep holes were filled with some dust/construction debris so the water backed up under the door and into the house. He unclogged the holes and realigned the seals on the bottom of the door.
Would like to say that I really appreciate Standard Pacific for this type of service. Freinds of ours bought a place in Anaheim Hills from a different builder and it is impossible to get them to come out to do anything.
P.S. ShadyJC the slider was on the side that faces the entrance to the canyon, which is the way the direction the rain was falling from on tuesday night.
