Does anyone know what was going on with the helicopter circling overhead on Sunday night? I thought it was using a searchlight and going from street to street up here, and it was pretty low.

we saw several fire trucks 4-5 going up the canyon. I called azusa pd who advised an accident had occurred up in the canyon. A short time after Hwy 39 was closed, a helicopter was brought in and flew into the canyon twice. It appeared that they were air-lifting out the injured. The helicopter went directly over our house (makes me nervous), landed twice and appeared that ambulances left. This morning strangely the helicopter was back and landed twice and it appeared that possibly ambulances took something and left (bodies?). What happened? It must have been hugh....I am waiting for tomorrow's Tribune to see if there is an article....

I noticed the helicopter around 2 am. I have no idea why but I want to let my imagination run wild and come up with possibilities:
1. I noticed the lights going up into the hillside so it made me wonder if they are looking for an animal that comes out at night. Maybe this animal injured or killed someone and they are looking for it.
2. They are looking for aliens. They look at night because they glow in the dark.
3. There is a ravage killer on the loose that is only visible at night.
4. They are doing filming for a movie.
5. One of the neighbors just bought a helicopter and they are having trouble finding a good place to land.

My top 10 theories on the helicopter and nightsun incident:
10. Girls gone wild in Azusa!
9. Pilot saw something shiny when they flew over earlier in the day.
8. Bush keeping promise to look hard for a REAL Supreme Court Justice nominee.
7. E.T. didn't make the call home after all.
6. It turns out Russian-made night goggles weren't such a great bargain.
5. Shooting range expanding to night operations with moving targets.
4. Chupacabra sighting.
3. Tom DeLay ditched handlers before Martha Stewart's ankle bracelet could be fitted.
2. Old-folks home front doors left unattended again.
1. Minutemen-west.
