Swtldy2k you seriously still haven't finished your landscaping? You are still trying to make it the board's fault? GIVE IT UP! Maybe if you spent more of your time on line looking for a contractor instead of complaining about the big scary intruders you might make some progress. And while we are on the subject, WHY didn't you stop the kids going to the pool and ask if and where they lived here? Or else WHY didn't you call Euclid? You preach community not caring and what did you do when given an opportunity to intercede? I must refer back to my previous post since you may not have seen it. It was in regard to the complaining you do about the CC&R's being enforced here. I can't understand why you feel you should be exempt from the landscape time limit all of us were under. YOU signed the contract to move here, YOU agreed to the terms for landscaping. YOU are responsible for getting it done and YOU deserve to pay fines until it is completed correctly just like the rest of us would if we were in the same situation. FINISH your landscaping and stop whining. Unfinished yards (especially the front yards) make Mountain Cove look unattended and uncared for and you wouldn't want that for OUR homes and OUR community would you? Have you ever gone to a homeowner's meeting? Your statements about the people there doing nothing are totally WRONG. You are completely uninformed. I have attended the last two meetings and LOW AND BEHOLD I found out THAT 1. The board appointed a committee of homeowners to look into adding a gate with a guard and two board members volunteered to help organize and run the committee. There were about 50 homeowners present at the meeting and no volunteers wanted to be on the committee. I guess they either weren't interested in the idea (like myself) or else too busy complaining to actually do something. 2. The board has agreed to have an architect look at the curb at the gate and see if there is a way to increase the difficulty of coming in the exit (a U-turn curb or small wall making the turn much more difficult). Again the board (all volunteers) formed this committee themselves because nobody volunteered. They indicated they'd have the info in July or Aug. 3. They also mentioned spike strips and said they had even gotten bids from three companies to have them installed (but you would know that if you had attended the meetings or talked to anyone who did instead of just making accusations). They said they intend to send a flyer asking neighbors for opinions about installing spike strips, because shockingly, not all of us want to live someplace where there are big red signs saying “danger tire damage” everywhere. Those would be in addition to the “No Trespassing" signs on the bridge that we have now. So instead of complaining, doing nothing and spreading misinformation go get involved. Why should 5 people on a volunteer board be responsible for every idea one of us homeowners thinks up? Why don't you chair one of the above committees? Go door to door, get a bunch of owners to sign a petition and make something happen. HOWEVER, you may want to finish your landscape first that is unless you are good at multi-tasking... good luck.

I am a newbie poster but not new to lurking on the site. I did not have a bad day~ actually I can't remember the last time I really did. I tend to be pretty upbeat given that the majority of troubles that I encounter are inconsequential in the grand scheme of things. However, listening to whining without any offer to help solve a problem is something I find irritating. And yes, I have kids too so I know what warrants the label of a whine. I noticed that several of your posts were complaints that rallied for more of the same from people here so I decided to sign up as a poster and point it out as I don't think it is good for our community and since I also knew that what you were saying was inaccurate. Glad to hear you finished your landscaping. What was all the griping about then regarding the board and how you and your husband were too tired after working all day to finish? I noticed your other posts (where you did the complaining) have disappeared. I was going to cut and paste to be specific in regard to the misinformation about the board not doing anything about the gate and them not caring about what goes on here nor listening and only wanting to meddle and how these are "OUR HOMES"... etc... THAT would be the misinformation part. That would be exactly what I am talking about. If you click on someone's user ID you can check all the posts they have submitted. That is how I made sure it was you who had been grumbling about the same things before. I just don't think you should criticize volunteers in our community about what's not being done until you've ascertained for certain that is the case and the only way to do that is to get the info for yourself straight from the sources. You can't expect that you are going to change things from an anonymous posting board that is not an official part of Euclid/Mountain Cove. It is probably not even read by half the people who live here which most likely includes the members on the board. Have a fantastic weekend! From one great multi-tasker to another
